When I was a Python dev, I hated Python. When I was a Java dev, I hated Python. When I was a Kotlin dev, I hated Python. When I was a Haskell dev, I hated Python. When I was an OCaml dev, I hated Python. I’m a C dev now. I still hate Python. Love changes. Hate is constant.

Yo, what'd you do if not for engineering? Me - I'd have been an economist at the RBI.

Send the video to everyone you know showing how heinously Nowak was treated by the police in his dying moments and how the police cravenly kowtowed to his murderer. Legacy mainstream media, same ones who wrote about George Floyd millions of times, are dead silent about Nowak.

you still shouldn't be writing Java :)
"Java setup has come such a long way!" 1. Install some packages 2. vim.pack.add{ 'github.com/mfussenegger/nvim…' } 3. Update jdtls config to use java-debug 4. vim.lsp.enable('jdtls') old.reddit.com/r/neovim/comm…

i have seen enough proof now that using a coding agent is a deep skill it's confusing because the people you see heavily using them produce horrible results but that's because it's a skill! you can get better and the ceiling seems pretty high - this is very exciting to me

You know, everyone knows about C89/90 and C99, but I have the feeling few of you know about C95. Yes, C95 is the forgotten C "standard". Could write a blog about it, what do you think?

I love C . It's the ultimate computer virus. Sometimes, Worse Is Better, New Jersey beats out MIT, and the dirt path always wins. Each programming language has its flavor, at least for me. Unironically, C has a summer taste, kinda like a mix of a sweet perfume and vanilla next to the ocean. I think this is not because of C , but because it was my first lang, and I was still clueless about programming.

WhatsApp encryption is a giant fraud. The state of Texas just sued WhatsApp for lying to users about privacy — because WhatsApp employees have access to “virtually all” private messages. Now we know what WhatsApp’s founder meant when he said he “sold his users’ privacy.”
