In defense of Indian 🇮🇳 democracy! During Prime Minister Narendra Modi most successful visit to Norway a minor incident happened. A Norwegian journalist demanded that the prime minister starts holding press conferences. She claimed that Indian democracy is in bad shape. May be its time to pause? May be its time to be a bit curious to the world’s largest democracy? Two weeks ago five Indian states and territories held elections. The turn out in the battlefield state of West Bengal was 94%. In the last local election in Norway it was 62%, in many European local elections turn out is below 50%. Can voting in massive numbers be a signal Indians trust their democratic process? In the same election BJP won big in Assam and West Bengal. It lost even bigger in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Can this diversity be a signal that Indian democracy is reflecting the will of the people? The journalist referred to a democracy ranking putting India at 157 in the world, behind many dictatorships and deeply troubled states. When a ranking is so obviously contrary to common sense, why not ask critical questions to those making the ranking rather than demand that leaders shall comment on nonsense? I recommend Salvatore Babones book “Dharma democracy”. The book debunks convincingly the flawed methodology of these rankings. It was referred to a ranking claiming it’s very dangerous to be a journalist in India. Reality is that it is more dangerous to be journalist in the US and far more dangerous in the vast majority of other nations in the world. Let’s be real. India is not perfect. Of course there are incidents. India has a population the size of North America, South America and Europe combined. But India is much more peaceful than Europe or the Americas. That’s remarkable - given the ethnic, language and religious diversity of India and the many development challenges. Unless we consider democracy a form of government only suited for some very small, peaceful and homogeneous Western European nations, may be we should commend Indian democracy? India is the only major former UK colony which became and has remained a democracy. Its sometimes claimed that the Brits taught India democracy. If that was the case why isn’t Myanmar or Pakistan or the Gulf kingdoms democracies??? Reality is that Indian democracy is both homegrown and extraordinary successful.

Everyone in India knows Trump admin makes far-fetched statements to show they are in control and "winning." There's no need for India to respond to all these silly statements everyday wasting time to "show we are in control." Only weak people will want India to do that, not patriotic Indians who are confident about themselves and their country. India didn't care about this permission ever. Russian oil flowed into India even under US sanctions and objections before. So let's appreciate the GoI for such strong decisions in national interest previously that kept oil manageable during big world wide conflicts. This statement by US is for their own domestic audience because news reports were out India was increasing Russian oil - which it was still buying even in February. India does not need to respond to these silly claims like some weak people would like.

What can't be stopped change the narratives that's why USA as well as many global analysts are presenting there opinion on the issue . Is not it @aravind sir?
US to ease sanctions on Russian oil sales to India amid supply concerns The US is temporarily easing sanctions on Russian oil sales to India to meet potential supply shortages following US and Israeli attacks on Iran. US Treasury secretary Scott Bessent said Washington was issuing a temporary 30-day waiver to allow Indian refiners to purchase sanctioned Russian oil. “India is an essential partner of the United States, and we fully anticipate that New Delhi will ramp up purchases of US oil. This stop-gap measure will alleviate pressure caused by Iran’s attempt to take global energy hostage,” Bessent said in a social media post. The measure would not provide significant financial benefit to Moscow, Bessent said, as it only authorised transactions stranded at sea. Washington’s intervention follows a surge in oil prices. The US oil price settled 8.5 per cent higher on Thursday at its highest level since July 2024.

🚨 Many new traders across India enter the stock market for easy gains. Some get lured by “F&O account handling” or “profit sharing” services promising sure-shot returns. ⚠️ Reality: In 90% cases, these services turn traders into losers. 👉 My advice: Don’t fall for such traps

Sideways to bearish market behaviour....so finding tradable entry will be futile attempt on long side (intraday view as per my system)
The market can go up from here or down. The index is only a guide for me. Stocks & breakouts need to work really well that's what essentially matters to me. I have not placed any major trade since a very long time, just a few 1-2 days small scraps. But to have a more sustainable rally with breakouts working and large % swings, a reset in smallcap index will be better as breadth & participation will also improve. Currently for a market that is at ATH levels, the breadth is pathetic, simply pathetic. ( Sub 50 breadth in Long Medium and Short) Also I have traded the 2022 market, and it's not that I don't know how to deal choppy phases but this is definitely harder than 2022 also without a doubt.
