Is it so wrong to want to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women?
Obviously "the market is a bunch of dummies who can't tell SpaceX is a giant bubble and Elon Musk is a drooling imbecile whose brain is slowly turning into soup" would be a little too convenient for my priors, so I'm skeptical. But I can't fully shake the feeling. What gives?

The Trump administration has announced they'll need to spend an estimated $1 billion to combat the New World Screwworm.

If Jax didn't already abstract he would have killed himself on the spot the instant Caine pulls up with all their socials. Just jumped into the void immediately while laughing.

I will say during the TADC film showing it was very funny when someone yelled FUCK as loud as possible in the theater when Kinger brought up the brain scans topic. Very funny to me that people have so many of their theories dashed.

You could do a full on what-if series on "what-if Ahsoka was Obi-Wans padawan instead of Anakins?" I think that'd be a cool story.

"A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts. So he loses touch with reality, and lives in a world of illusion." - Alan Watts This quote became a meme. But it's the only real way out of an overthinking rut. F*ck the balance sometimes. F*ck the perfect discipline. Go do something unexpected. Take a car to a random part of an island and figure it out when you get there. Start the business everyone says will fail. Stay up until 4am building something just because the idea won't leave you alone. Have awkward social interactions. Just do things without over-analyzing how you did it. You cannot think your way out of being stuck in your head. You can only 'do' your way out. The only real measure of intelligence is your ability to manage your own stress. Every day you have a choice to suffer or not, and the way you silence that suffering isn't more thinking. It's doing. Find beauty in the mundane. Stop talking about your problems and stop replaying them in your head, because all that does is make them bigger. Zoom out. Have a vision big enough that today's stress feels small. And accept the fact that maybe things are actually going well. Your life is probably in a far better position than the version of it living in your head.

Favorite memory of June 1st dnd. Player casted prismatic wall on the ceiling and programmed reverse gravity to go off in the room at the right time. The bad guys enter and his one liner goes "Happy Pride Month" As the spell fires and all in the room are shredded by the ceiling.

"scraping" as a term implies its some kind of automated data farm. The API is a collection of data from many sources, mostly veekun, some serebii, Bulbapedia, and also in-game. The process of compiling, cross-checking, and formatting for API intake is still largely manual work.

it only recently occurred to me that some boomers say 'hockey sticks' as a shorthand for the phrase "H-E-double hockey sticks" which was a weird puritan shorthand for HELL no one says anymore but it's very cute to me.

My zoomer daughter told me she had been really getting into Reddit and described herself as "le sighpilled". Knowing any objection would only feed her rebellious nature I gritted my teeth and said the hardest thing I'd ever had to say "That's awesome sauce, honey"
