We will never forget the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
Twenty-four years later, we continue to share their stories, support their loved ones, and honor the heroes who responded that day and in the years that followed.
We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.
I left the council dais tonight as colleagues tried to cram bans on DEI, abortion & immigration into Jacksonville’s budget. Our Charter isn’t a toy. Local budgets fund local needs—not culture wars. My voice won’t be silenced. #DuvalForward
This uninformed colleague of mine said that people in my district support a millage rate reduction. That's just not true. Lead with the truth not pseudo-facts created in the vacuousness of a brain that has not digested ANY facts.
Councilman @rahmanj added:
“Here we are again, focusing on state & national issues instead of the things our community actually needs. This is just a sad way for somebody to get attention.”
Whew, that period of time when communication was clocked!!! It was imperative that you learned how to say what you mean and mean what you said and you didn’t beat around the bush saying it. If too much sweet talk could give you diabetes, then what would talking too much shit do?
“Is there a standard definition that we have for DEI? *pause* “What is it?”
*longer pause*
“Clearly no one can answer the question because it is not answerable”

A member of the Jacksonville City Council has just issued an amendment to say that the "appearance of diversity is illegal". This is what implicit bias looks like. #Sad#LackofIntelligence
