Back in 2008 I was working for Chris Tomlin and he moved his band here from Texas to start Passion City Church. He recognized the 6% pay cut they were taking and gave them a raise to offset it. This is a competitive disadvantage for Georgia employers and employees.

The contrast is clear in this race for Georgia Lt. Governor. I voted against renewing data center tax credits. I fought to hold Fani Willis accountable. I stood with President Trump in the wake of 2020. I have never voted for a tax increase. My opponent can't say the same.

Tonight Georgia sent a clear message —Georgia isn’t for sale.

The data center boom in Georgia is being driven by the massive tax breaks we’re handing these companies. I’m the only person running for Lt. Governor who voted against the renewal of this credit in 2022, now look where we are. There is no reason Georgia families should be subsidizing data centers.

As @DolezalForGA explains, the data center issue is not even about AI, it's part of a broader war on red America's land and character that ties into housing policies (section 8), wind, solar, carbon capture, etc. It all results in the same consolidation of land into the same hands. youtu.be/7sCiQASIFTw Which is why those who were never involved in the other land-use fights completely misfire with the data centers.
