Even when crypto prices drop and charts look scary, real builders are quietly shaping the future.
This week,
@arbitrum gave us a glimpse of one of those moments: Stylus Demo Day.
It’s a celebration of creativity, innovation, and smart contracts that are faster, cheaper, and more flexible than ever before.
Thanks to
@arbitrum for highlighting these builders and their work!
If you’re new, don’t worry, Stylus isn’t hard to understand.
Think of it as a new toolset for building smart contracts.
Developers can use Rust, C, or C instead of just Solidity.
More programming languages = more people can build = faster innovation and better apps for everyone.
Stylus adds a second virtual machine (WASM VM) next to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Why does that matter?
Because it allows developers to:
Use memory more efficiently
Reduce gas fees
Run transactions faster
In simple terms: your contracts work better and cost less.
Demo Day made it real.
Projects funded through the Stylus Sprint grants presented live builds.
We got to see smart contracts actually running on
@arbitrum, saving gas, handling more data, and doing things that were previously too expensive on EVM.
Example:
@redstone_defi
Oracles on EVM are expensive and slow because of technical limits.
With Stylus:
✅ Rust code runs directly onchain
✅ Multiple data feeds can be processed in one transaction
✅ Gas costs drop dramatically
The results: 34% less computation overall and 50% less per data feed, real savings you can feel.
@wakeuplabs is making Stylus even easier to use by adding AssemblyScript, a language similar to TypeScript.
This means developers can use languages they already know instead of learning something new.
Familiar languages = more developers building = more apps and tools for the Arbitrum ecosystem.
@rather_labs is bringing Move, the language behind Aptos and SUI, to Stylus.
Stylus isn’t just for one language or one project it’s about giving developers more freedom to build smart contracts their way.
The result?
Faster innovation, lower costs, and more creative possibilities for everyone.
The big picture: small technical upgrades can create huge opportunities.
💡 Faster contracts
💡 Cheaper computation
💡 More programming languages
💡 Easier access for developers
Stylus Demo Day shows that
@arbitrum is quietly building the future of smart contracts, efficient, flexible, and accessible to everyone.
