Actually there are indeed ~2000 children (Rohingya and others) held in immigration detention.
In 2019, Dr Wan Azizah & Hannah Yeoh as part of Women & Children Ministry, worked to move the kids to NGO shelters outside of detention centres.
This didn't materialise.
