I just made my final payment to Leif for my ISA from my time at @bloomtech (FKA Lambda School). That means I've been coding professionally now for 2 years.
I've had many ups and downs but today I am proud of where I've come from and what I've accomplished. #womenintech#proud
After ending my journey at Lambda in the summer of 2020, I landed my first junior developer role. In October I was promoted to co-lead a team of 5 developers across 2 continents as well as begin my training to become a chief engineer. 🙏

The worst part about being an engineer: Staring at a problem that you have no idea how to fix.
The best part about being an engineer: Fixing that problem you never thought you could.
Went from writing React apps to creating an image of a Linux environment on AWS so our bash scripts are secure & can work on Windows and MacOS.
My dev journey is escalating quickly. 🎢
Also finally set up aliases for my bash profile. #bouttime#WomenWhoCode
This week at work I’ve gotten to build a widget using React.
Learned about AD, ADFS, LDAP, SAML, SSO, and tons of other fun, new terms.
Working with the BE dev to create the front end of our Server documentation. I’m basically helping build an in-house Swagger!!

Wrote a program in Scala that sings the song dem bones with @GumermanJulie for work this week. 🦴
Tonight I built my first widget for student balances from an external API using React with Axios.
I LOVE MY JOB.

Today at work I set up a server for a partner using #AWS & #Kubernetes. Pretty neat!!
I'm also researching how to solve an issue where an iframe is getting a double scroll bar at certain viewports.
Also today I uttered the phrase, "Let's just use VIM for this it'll be easier."
Hung out with @CodeLantigua this weekend and talked about our journey to becoming developers after graduating a coding bootcamp.
Check out the recording here! Let me know how much of a doofus I look like! 🤪 #100daysofcode#WomenWhoCode
Along with my career, I’ve also been working on my #fitness#goals.
What started out as a challenge to see if I could finish a workout program I started in HS has turned into a lifestyle.
It’s never too late to go after what you want if you’re willing to put in the effort.
Built a pocket dictionary with the Merriam-Webster API today!
I set it up to handles typos so you can press on the suggested word to see that definition.
Very fun API! It was a challenge but I was able to build and deploy this in just a few hours!

I added another feature to my memory game where it will store the last level the user was on (by storing the level in local storage and checking with a useEffect hook when the gameboard component mounts) for a better UX.
I’m inspired to create more 🧠 games!

Had an interview today 🤞
I created the option for a user to choose their color theme for my memory game using CSS variables. VERY cool. 👩🎨🎨
I also made a pop up menu with vanilla CSS and keyframes.
