Palliative care and assisted dying are different things and both are needed. Palliative cannot help someone with MND who has lost every movement and canβt speak. Patients typically die from breathing muscle failure but not all have that progression or takes months if not years.

14 years ago my husband lost his life to #MND & #FTD (Frontal Temperal Dementia ) Thereβs lots more awareness of MND but not of a dual diagnosis of MND/FTD and cognitive change, but clinical & research community now more aware of dual diagnosis. @MNDPatients @APPGonMND
