- Forced into a galaxy-wide conflict she doesn't understand
- Physically and mentally violated by Kylo Ren with the Force, imprisoned
- Spends the entire film running away from the call to adventure and her destiny
- She considers Han Solo a father figure and loses him immediately
EPISODE 8
- Expects guidance, is met with rejection and dismissal from Luke
- Confronted with the troubled legacy of the Jedi after romanticizing them
- Forms a bond with and places her faith in Kylo, only to be betrayed by him when he chooses the First Order
- Loses Luke Skywalker, her last hope for identity after accepting her parents were never coming back
- Is somewhat responsible for Kylo becoming Supreme Leader, since he was able to kill Snoke because she surrendered and created the opportunity
- Also mentally violated by Snoke, completely at his mercy and has to be saved by Kylo
EPISODE 9
- After spending the previous two films longing for identity, she discovers she is Palpatine's granddaughter, making her identity something terrifying instead of comforting
- Operates in constant fear of becoming like her bloodline
- Thus struggles with the pull of the dark side the entire film
- Attempts to exile herself out of fear, is only stopped by Luke
- Loses Leia, her final parental figure/mentor/master
- Burdened with the legacy of both the Sith and the Jedi and she's only one person
- Literally dies
- Loses Ben Solo, her dyad

Luke loses his parents, then he loses his mentor and once guardian in Ben Kenobi, then loses his hand, etc.
Anakin loses ~everything~ ...
But Rey's loses are seemingly confined to her backstory; no?
