A commentary I wrote on the reality of image-based sexual abuse - and what survivors are living with - was published in the Herald Sun today. Technology-facilitated abuse is serious sexual harm - and it must be treated as such. collectiveshout.org/no_one_t…
Tech-facilitated abuse is being minimised while women live with the trauma. Collective Shout campaigner @reneechopping centres the voices of women living with image-based abuse and calls for it to be recognised - and addressed - as serious sexual harm. collectiveshout.org/no_one_t…

OnlyFans markets itself as a safe and empowering platform, but reports continue to reveal a darker reality. Recent allegations suggest traffickers are using subscription-based pornography platforms as a new business model, exploiting victims while profiting from their abuse. NCOSE is urging state Attorneys General to investigate these reports and hold platforms accountable when exploitation occurs. This fight is not over. To file this motion and continue defending against the Tates' legal action, we have incurred significant legal expenses. We still urgently need to raise approximately $12,000 to reach our current funding goal. If you'd like to support our defence and help us continue fighting, you can do so here: givesendgo.com/freespeechvst… Every contribution helps. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far.

Media that objectifies women sends the message that women are sexual instruments that should behave in ways that facilitate male sexual gratification – promoting women’s role in providing male sexual pleasure and undermining their humanity.
Sexual objectification isn't harmless. Research shows that it doesn't stay on a billboard, screen or social media feed. It is associated with poorer body image, the normalisation of sexist attitudes, and greater acceptance of sexual VAWG. collectiveshout.org/how_sexu…

If a company builds a product capable of causing harm, should it bear any responsibility for the consequences? I believe it should. That's why I'm taking legal action against xAI. Please sign the petition: actionnetwork.org/forms/saia…

UK MP Jess Asato launches High Court action against xAI’s Grok over non-consensual s*xualised images UK Labour Member of Parliament, Jess Asato MP, has launched a High Court claim against xAI for its Grok AI chat bot, which has been used to undress millions of women and thousands of children – including herself. “The ability of Grok to strip women and children was not an accident. Safeguards could have been built into the chatbot, but its creators chose not to,” states Ms Asato. “I'm launching this High Court claim to pursue accountability for those choices.” Asato told the The Guardian that as well as creating images of her in a bikini, Grok also produced a video “showing her being chloroformed and prepared for a s*xual assault”. Three members of our own team were also undressed by men using the Grok tool. Two of us were morphed into violent p*rnographic videos. One of us was undressed and depicted in bikinis and black lingerie. We understand the feeling of violation, invasion of privacy and identity theft facilitated by Grok in the creation of non-consensual imagery using our likenesses. We support Ms Asato and hope she is successful in holding Elon Musk’s xAI to account and stopping this form of Tech Facilitated Violence Against Women. linkedin.com/posts/jess-asat…

Full decriminalization of pimps and sex buyers drastically increases harms (sex trafficking, drug addiction, premature death, depression, and STI transmission) by exploding demand far higher.
Replying to @WoodhullFreedom
Decriminalization is about harm reduction, labor rights, and public health. This year’s legislative efforts show how the conversation is shifting (slowly, but importantly).

The Take It Down Act is now officially in effect, which makes it a federal crime to create or share nonconsensual sexual imagery, including AI-generated deepfakes. Simply put, creating or sharing these images is not a harmless joke or prank. It's exploitation, and it's actually illegal! If you are a victim, you are not alone, and you can find resources to report and remove your imagery here: buff.ly/sVzUzj7
