✨Exciting to see clinical efficacy of peripheral #CB1R antagonism with #monlunabant. It will expand armamentarium for #obesity with a different mechanism than incretins (#GLP1#GIP)
⚡️Similar efficacies in all tested oral doses encourage testing lower doses to optimize safety.
ALT (A) Estimated change in bodyweight from baseline to week 16 (95% CI). Overall mean baseline bodyweight was 110·1 kg. The estimated treatment differences with 95% CIs are noted for each monlunabant group compared with the placebo group. (B) Observed mean change (SEM) in bodyweight (kg) for each group over time. Numbers shown in the lower panel are number of participants contributing to the mean.
Our research shows anandamide in blood has biomarker functions in Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome. It not only captures early stage fibrosis progression in lung but also informs on therapeutic effect for CB1R antagonism. This may help to design effective anti-fibrotic therapy @CureHPS
Anandamide Is a Potential Blood Biomarker of Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome Pulmonary Fibrosis
This study suggests that circulating anandamide levels begin to increase with the fibrotic lung process even at subclinical stages

Congrats to @pommerollelenny and @ctm_dijon team for this impactful work! This work not only endorsed CD206 expressing macrophages as a profibrotic macrophages in progressive #pulmonaryfibrosis but also elegantly provides an imaging tool to use biomarker function of CD206 imaging
The blood biomarker functions of #Anandamide may help targeted prophylactic or early therapeutic interventions in a highly predictable fibrosing #rarelungdisease#HPSPF in the future.
