Ed, who grew up and still lives not far from Ipswich, is, like me, a keen supporter of ITFC and sponsors the team's shirt. I have been a season ticket holder at Portman Road for over 30 years and my seat is in the row right in front of Ed's executive box. Despite his global stardom as a singer/songwriter he actively supports local charities and communities. He remains true to his roots and is a really nice guy. Having grown up with The Beatles and the Stones there are not many artists today whose music I really want to listen to but Ed Sheeran is a standout exception. He is constantly "pushing the envelope" as his recent projects and releases show - this track for F1 The Movie @F1Movie , "Sapphire" #sapphire produced in India and "Old Phone" #oldphone for which the wonderful video was shot in Ipswich MA USA. These 3 songs demonstrate Ed's amazing versatility. His one man shows are unique and innovative and I believe he will become recognised as one of the great songwriters of the modern era.
