El aterrizaje de C-130 en Isfahan no tenía nada que ver con las operaciones de rescate de pilotos. El objetivo previsto era la instalación nuclear de Isfahan y el sitio de Baharestan. Anoche, los estadounidenses llevaron a cabo dos operaciones separadas dentro de Irán. Primero, una operación a gran escala en helicóptero en Kohgiluyeh destinada a rescatar a su piloto. Esto implicó un asalto abierto al Monte Siah utilizando múltiples aviones de combate y helicópteros.
