imo these "demands" prove that people are actually invested in a story & connect to the character enough to evoke frustration or dissatisfaction towards their actions, which is good! emotional responses from an audience is what storytelling is all about
it’s weird when people demand a character face “consequences” for their actions in shows bc like. they’re not real. the purpose of making a character isn’t to treat them how you’d treat a real person, it’s to be tools for a narrative you want to tell
