Very proud and very happy to see this published. Amazing group effort with a most talented @LucaKolibius at the helm to test the classic hippocampal Indexing Theory at the human single neuron level. The paper includes two experiments with an internal replication.

Hippocampal neurons reinstate specific episodic memories in humans. These Episode Specific Neurons are independent of Concept Neurons or Time Cells and code the conjunction of elements that make up the event.
