Looking for advice @ecobee. I have a Smart Thermostat Premium. The thermostat is mounted in a hallway that people walk through frequently. Every time someone walks past, the display lights up. Is there a way to turn this off? We only want the display to light up when it is tapped

This is particularly bothersome in the middle of the night, when the house is dark, and someone is trying to visit the bathroom. Moving past the thermostat, the display turns on, and blinds you. Thank-you in advance for any advice you can provide here. Running firmware 4.8.7.530.

I'm watching the leaderboard for my students and it's quite obvious that many of my students are choosing to spend their Friday night on Hacktivate challenges. No more need be said!

Ruminating on using Jupyter Notebook to fulfill coding expectations for Grade 9 math (and beyond) here in Ontario. Here's one example I came up with today... any teachers out there with thoughts on this?

Perhaps I’m thinking about math and coding too literally, but in a perfect world, I’d like students to learn the basics of computational thinking and coding in grade 9, and then continue to build their skills throughout all their math courses in grades 10, 11, and 12.

Ideally, we graduate students proficient in using Python and Jupyter Notebook to communicate and explore mathematics... up to and including in calculus and statistics classes.
