Noor Inayat Khan, the British Indian SOE agent and the first female wireless operator sent into Nazi-occupied France, was betrayed, tortured for months, and executed at Dachau in 1944.
She gave away no secrets despite brutal interrogation and was posthumously awarded the George Cross for her outstanding courage.

I see Tourism NI are encouraging the use of “the North” instead of Northern Ireland in some circumstances.
As a publicly funded body, it should remain impartial and avoid alternative political terminology. The politicisation of publicly funded bodies is becoming increasingly blatant and unacceptable.
This is Northern Ireland, and there should be no issue saying it proudly.
