Heard Eminem’s “Without Me” for the first time in years yesterday and had forgotten that Moby, 36, is called out for being old

So my mom likes to watch Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee which means I also have to watch or listen to it if I want to be on the same floor. It’s fascinating as a vanity project because Jerry Seinfeld does not come off well at all.

Like over several episodes, he comes off as thin-skinned, incurious, huge ego, hacky, and afraid and dismissive of new things. Like he lives in a bubble and is just seeking people also in the bubble to confirm his grievances.

Also, the guests are almost always old, very successful comedians. You will be shocked to learn they feel somewhat persecuted and also that comedy simply cannot be taught, and that they are Really Special.

Disclosure Day has some incredible flourishes and some extremely ham-fisted messaging.

Last time I had a therapist I wrote up a 2 page google doc catching her up on my problems and asked her to read it before our first session. She did, and it saved a lot of time! I think more than 2 pages would be unreasonable and if they say no you just have to roll with it.
i know all the valid reasons why this isn't possible or advisable but I still wish I could speedrun the first month of sessions with a new therapist via them just Googling me

Idk how you are defining “classic” or “older”; Jurassic Park is now 31, for instance. If it’s B&W, The Killing. It’s a tight 90, engaging heist, Kubrick never misses. If it’s just 50 years old, The Taking of Pelham 123. Also a heist, also engaging.
What single classic film would you recommend to someone who never watched older movies?

Glad everyone is rediscovering The Americans! Some other shows everyone should watch: - Lodge 49 - Better Things - Halt and Catch Fire - Patriot - Counterpart

Has nobody in tech had to do tech support for an elderly relative over the phone?

Haven’t seen any criticism mention what a terrible upstairs neighbor Jeanne Dielman was, clomping around in heels on hardwood floors all day.

This is true; the hit rate for successful relationships is intentionally low. The point of the apps is not to connect people. The point is to make money. They are not making money if you match instantly.

This is not to say the apps are totally useless; they can lead to dates (or whatever you're looking for). But it is not intended to help people, it is intended to separate people from their money. Two separate goals. They can occasionally align.

So, I agree with OP; you should be supplementing the apps with real life activities if that is your goal.

All this is true. And people either get it or they don’t.

Is the maid of honor single
On the beach seated next to a Norwegian bachelorette party. The maid of honor is intense, organized, and rigorous. She’s making the other bridesmaids play a game that involves printouts and everyone has matching straw fedoras
