Plants often excrete poison to prevent insects from attacking them. The use of poison as protection is about as natural as it gets. That does NOT imply we should abandon regulations, but to wholesale disallow CPP because it’s “unnatural” fails to understand biology.

What is the point of #hiltonlifetimediamond is literally 30 people get rooms before you ready AFTER management goofs and forces you to change room when you extend your stay? #savannahdoubletree management needs a refresher course. So sad given I spend 200 nights w you.

Dear #KLM why is it I can find my luggage and you can’t even go look for it? It hasn’t moved in 24 hrs. It isn’t like this wasn’t shown to you the minute the bag didn’t arrive. Sure it’s hard to find lost luggage but ummm it’s right here. Go get it plz. It’s not hard to help.

I’ll pay double to fly on a business friendly #AmericanAirlines than risk #KLM again. #Delta needs to pick better partners. Hey #AmericanAirlines want to help an old friend find a bag that is obvious where it is (Air Tagged) in #KLM’s main airport in Amsterdam? Bet you will 1st

Difference between #AmericanAirlines and #KLM. American loses a bag, they do what it takes to find it. When #klmisajoke loses a bag with an AirTag identifying exactly where it is, they are too lazy to care. There is a reason I fly #American and #OneWorld for 250k miles/yr.

Very proud of my friends at @BordenDairy for their spectacular award through the USDA CFAP program. Amazing how much good this dairy will be able to do for those most in need. Elsie has good reason to be smiling.

Milk is just about the perfect protein. #raiseaglass #NationalMilkDay proud to be helping the industry with my FTI colleagues. So enjoy a glass especially if you are iced in today.
Let’s raise a glass today to celebrate the tremendous work ethic, ingenuity, and determination of America’s milk producers.🥛#RaiseaGlass #NationalMilkDay
Agriculture needs to amplify the issues of the farmer to the consumer extending the Farmer’s voice versus simply sharing an industry perspective. Farmers tell stories that are relatable. Industry tends to overwhelm with data. @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize
If Animal agriculture was eliminated in the United States, it would only reduce US greenhouse gas emissions by 2.9%. @WorldFoodPrize @FTIConsulting

Dogs and cats in the US consume the calories/agricultural inputs of 62 million people. Agriculture has to produce beyond just human population nutrition needs for things like fiber and fuel as well. @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize

Bad science leads to bad public policy when good science doesn’t know how to find its voice with the consumer and regulator. Strategic communication is critical for the industry but underinvested in. @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize @CASTagScience

Pseudo science tells a simple story that sticks. The food and Ag industry struggles to speak in simple science. The industry needs professional strategic communication help. @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize
Millennials worry about Ag’s impact on climate change, yet many want policies which would force farmers to drastically increase herds (organic, antibiotic free, slow growth, smaller farms). Modern Ag reduces climate impact feeding more with less @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize
Any agricultural policy which rolls back productivity forgets about the fact we only have 1/3rd of a business card (total arable land) vs a sheet of paper (World) to feed 9 billion AND of that 1/3rd of a business card almost half is wasted. @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize
Remember 1/3rd of a business card is all the arable land in the World vs a quarter sheet of paper which is all land (rest of sheet is water). Now take a Sharpie and color in 40% of that 1/3rd of a business card. That is global food waste. @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize
Meat barely impacts climate. Methane is largely destroyed. Net output is 10gigatons only. Herds are smaller because they are more productive. Almost all agricultural emissions occur in developing countries where productivity is low. @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize
To understand challenge of feeding 9 bil., take sheet of paper. That is the World. Fold it into a quarter. That is land v water. Take a business card and rip 1/3rd off. That 1/3rd of a business card is all arable land. @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize

The more milk a cow produces the less green house gases are produced by cows. Modern agriculture benefits the environment. @FTIConsulting @WorldFoodPrize
We are headed into the period where significant shortages will arise without a movement to import.
African Swine Fever now resulting in pig meat shortages in China as the cold storage reserves are depleting. This video shows consumers at empty shelves in Hainan China queuing for their pork at empty shelves. #AfricanSwineFever
