We now know that the 23 year-old Minneapolis shooter had multiple guns that were recently purchased  -- including a homemade AR-15 with multiple 30 round (Magpul) magazines and one 60 round (ATI Schmeisser) magazine.  That means the shooter could fire dozens and dozens of rounds before needing to reload.  There is no reason AR-15s or high capacity magazines should be allowed on the streets… no reason other than our idolatry of guns. This country has been more committed to protecting guns than children.  It is time to change that. Let’s demand a ban on assault weapons. NOW.
