The Liberal and National parties never miss an opportunity to betray the nation and deny us sovereign independence from unreliable foreign powers. Shame on them.

Please help @TeslaAUNZ@TeslaCharging to cross the Nullarbor with Superchargers by suggesting Eucla as an upcoming Supercharger Voting location by following the video below:
Today we look at utilisation of public EV charging infrastructure in Australia over the last 18 months. The data is categorised by "Remoteness" a measure created by researchers at the University of Adelaide and widely used by the Australian Bureau of Statistics. 1/3
From the chart we can see that:
- The further you are away from a capital city, the lower the utilisation (duh!)
- The average utilisation of metropolitan charging infrastructure is around 14%
- Across all levels of Remoteness, utilisation is trending upwards
Should we subsidise the creation of EV infra away from major cities to aid in building out critical infrastructure? This was done in the early days of rolling out petrol stations across the country and contributed enormously to free travel across out "wide brown land".
I have been working on visualising the development of the public DC charging network in Australia over the past decade. What do you think of this? Can I improve in any way?
Hey @GilmourSpace looks like the ABC are false reporting that this solid motor is larger than your hybrid! So sad they can't get simple facts straight.

Something like this with a decent battery that can maintain the sort of charge speeds we see in Chinese EVs would make a worthy upgrade to my 2019 Fremont M3P. Maybe CATL condensed?
I hope that the RC can understand that friendships ended and opportunities removed have nothing to do with being a Jew, and everything to do with not standing against the vile acts being conducted in your name.

Recently got a chance to see a JETOUR G700 PHEV take a lap around Yangqi Lake near Beijing. This vehicle is fitted with an optional aquatic pack that adds a couple of electric thrusters in the rear bumper. Would be perfect in flood-prone areas like Lismore, NSW or Queensland.
I used our @carloop_au charging data to analyse what happened over the Easter 2026 long weekend with EV charging, using the Coolac Supercharger as my example.

In short, EV infrastructure is not quite good enough for the biggest travel day of the year.
For the rest of the year, charging infrastructure is OK in many places in Australia, but we can always strive to be better, especially with EV sales skyrocketing.
It is also clear that Tesla is doing a lot of the heavy lifting on this route. We need every service centre on these major highways to have 8-20 DC charging bays!
look like we're back up charging in Katherine NT and also Devel's marbles hotel now online in time for tourist season traffic

Honda, the only Japanese car maker with a stand at the Melbourne Motor Show 2026, and what do they showcase but an NSX. Living in the past while China zooms into the future!
For all those that keep saying that electrifying large equipment is impossible, mining giant Fortescue just deployed their 18th 400 tonne electric excavator! They are not doing this to be green, but because they can save huge amounts of money. Win-win. share.google/g4C1dPTjBGSeuFx…
Infimotion just released info on a new integrated drive unit. Twin 360kW motors for 720kW (965 bhp) in a 130kg package including inverters. This is not much more than the weight of a GM 4L80 automatic trans that can take around 1000hp without engine!
