U.K. has some of the worst public transport in the western world (outside of London village) & intimidating/hostile roads for anyone outside of a car. Being a 'nation of drivers' is not something to be particularly proud of as a PM of a party in power for 13 years.

4 years after Tynwald adopted the new evidence led road safety strategy the silence is deafening on speed limits. Either adopt 'Safe Systems' in full @IOMGovernment or review your own strategy. Doing the same thing and expecting a different result isn't a great look.

Report shows the cost of obesity in UK is £58bn a year. For Wales that is £2.9bn. So if the national 20mph provides for more active travel resulting in just a 2% reduction in obesity that will save Wales £58m pa and a huge reduction in load on NHS. frontier-economics.com/uk/en…

BREAKING: Germany has just announced UNLIMITED public transport anywhere in the country will cost just £1.40 PER DAY.
Officials say the policy is aimed at cutting CO2 emissions and helping with the cost of living.
Anyone else think our government should do something similar?

'Sign only' default 20mph should be the starting point for any jurisdiction serious about achieving #VisionZero and is evidenced to:
✅ Be low cost
✅ Reduce average speed
✅ Reduce emissions
✅ Reduce casualties
✅ Improve our urban spaces
✅ Improve traffic flow at peak hours
