The United Kingdom is rapidly becoming a Welfare System with a country attached to it.
And therein lies the problem.
We have no spare money to invest in Defence.
I believe @Keir_Starmer wants to put the cash in but his welfarist MP’s won’t let him.

On that basis the King should dissolve this parliament.

So a decent man - @JohnHealey_MP has had to resign from government because colleagues like @Ed_Miliband refused to shave just 1% off of their budgets to help fund the defence of the nation. Worse still the PM didn’t wade in on the side of his (former) Defence Secretary.

The unrest in #Belfast last night gives the politicians exactly what they wanted.
They will now focus entirely on it rather than on the issues which triggered it.
ie why we have allowed men into our communities who think gouging eyes / attempted beheadings is acceptable.

The UK government is failing to keep its citizens safe. A man from Sudan enters NI from the ROI and rather than send him back its reported the @ukhomeoffice gave him ILR. Same man then attempts to behead and slash the eyes of a local man in #Belfast. Truly shocking. Enough.

Once @AndyBurnhamGM wins in #Makerfield, the locals will never see him again. He’ll be in London, Kiev, Brussels & Washington etc.
If decades of @UKLabour neglect are what the constituency is worried about, electing a machine politician with PM ambitions isn’t the answer.

It seems @jamesmurray_ldn has changed his mind.
A couple of years ago he said “i believe trans women are women”.
This am on @BBCr4today he says he no longer believes this to be the case -“I wouldn’t say that anymore”.
Seems the stonewall koolaid is wearing off.

The @GiorgiaMeloni government has gripped its fiscal problems and therefore its borrowing costs have fallen.
@Keir_Starmer took over a dire fiscal state in UK and made it worse by borrowing & spending more.
Our costs are now higher than under Truss.
We must cut spending.
