No, the ICE agent isn't "kneeling on his neck". Yes, yes, ICE is the modern gestapo, a bunch of thugs operating without accountability. What I'm arguing is that you cannot "see" what's happening here. You think you clearly see the ICE agent kneeling on his neck like with George Floyd, but you don't. What you see here is the approved, trained technique of kneeling OVER the neck. The difference is that the weight is still mostly on the other leg, and on the heels. The knee is extended over the neck to prevent the target from being able to lift their head, but the weight is not on the neck, it's on the heels and other leg. You can watch the agent leading up to this point, where the ICE agent is carefully placing his foot in the right position, so that the weight stays on his back heels and other leg, then extends his knee over the target's neck. This technique is extensively trained for and approved, and is included in most training manuals. That's why you know Chauvin's claim of using his training is false. His weight was on Floyds neck, not on his other leg or heels. He was definitely NOT trained to do this. The two procedures are different for exact the reasons shown, that one can injure the person, and the other simply immobilizes them without injury. The point of this tweet isn't to defend or attack Chuavin or ICE, but to point out that you and I can see the same videos but see completely different things, and that some education is important.
BREAKING: ICE just broke Minnesota law detaining an American Citizen and kneeing on his neck, which was outlawed after the George Floyd murder. Trump wants this to keep escalating so that he can continue to consolidate more and more power within the federal government. The more power he has the more he can screw up the 2026 election.

This WaPo article from @PerryStein should really say there is one major case of voter fraud--Trump's attempt to steal the 2020 election--and that the most prominent example of the things Trump claims to be hunting for (paid registration, mail-in ballots) were provably done by Elon Musk. washingtonpost.com/national-…

They put up scaffolding and a curtain to hide the removal of Trump's name. But now that his name is removed, they aren't taking down the scaffolding and curtain. Instead, they are making it rather permanent, rearranging it so that people can use the side doors for events.

The chart in the tweet below includes Starlink launches, which don't really count. So I created a chart with Starlink launches removed and it's still an impressive win for SpaceX.
Let’s take a look at the performance of ArianeGroup vs the “dream” of SpaceX after that 2013 conference:

To be fair, there have only been a dismal 8 non-Starlink SpaceX launches this year, this is not really much of a growth business. Nonetheless, Musk's "vision" has proven true.

Lots of people report severe reaction to the Shingrex shot, my brother-in-law saying it's the second sickest he's ever felt. Nonetheless, it's overwhelmingly worth it to get.
Maybe RFK is on to something. That second shingles shot is wearing me out

The Reflecting Pool was filled with drinking water from the city water supply, so was nice and clear showing the blue bottom. It took days for algae to start growing making it as green as it's always been.
The Trump administration renovated the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, DC. The changes are visible from space. yahoo.com/news/politics/arti…

Facebook/Meta got a $3.3 billion tax break to build this data-center, which some media has reported as putting a huge billion dollar "hole" in state finances. Nonetheless, it still pays more in taxes than it receives in benefits from the government. That "hole" is just theoretical numbers, the real numbers is that data-centers add to government revenue. Facebook's/Meta's huge tax break was from state sales taxes. They paid all sorts of other taxes. In this case, a county 1% sales taxes on the billions of hardware they purchased. Just because they got a state-wide tax break doesn't mean they got a local county tax break. The point is that most reporting is biased against data-centers. They pretend the missing theoretical taxes are somehow bankrupting local governments, when in fact they do the opposite, and are a net increase in revenue. They consume fewer increased services than the increased taxes they provide.
A school district in Louisiana says some of its teachers will receive bonuses of more than $50,000 this year thanks to increased tax revenue linked to a Meta data center, per WSJ

They have no evidence of this, and no photograph that shoes this. They have a photo sneaking behind the curtain removing a "P". They have a court filing promising Trump's name has been removed. But we have no evidence that the exterior has actually been restored.
Breaking news: President Trump’s name is off the Kennedy Center. The building’s exterior reads “The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts” once more. wapo.st/4fDvtWg

Virtually none of Musk's wealth comes from government "help". The government bought things from Musk, as any other customers. It buys flights to the International Space Station (ISS) cheaper than it can buy them from Boeing or the Russians. That's not "help", that's "being a customer". The government wanted more electric cars, so it gave a $7500 tax break. Yes, this "helps" Tesla, but only as the secondary effect of the government helping itself, furthering it's climate policies. Whatever help you think Tesla and SpaceX gets, the government funnels far more to its competitors. That tax credit was available to all car makers. NASA gives outright grants of billions to SpaceX competitors that go nowhere, like Boeing's ill-fated "Starliner" and the "SLS Artemis" rocket to nowhere.
Musk is the leading example of an illegal immigrant living off public welfare in human history and the man spends every day pretending the real problem is a woman cleaning motel rooms in West Murfreesboro Our species has let this evil man prosper and we will pay the price for it
