Beware of this social-engineering attack: the Telegram account of BTC Prague’s founder has been hacked and is being used to trick people into installing malware. @telegram, why aren’t hacked accounts being deleted?
🚨 Telegram SCAM Scammers are contacting people on "my" behalf using my stolen Telegram account! Please be aware - I only use the Signal app!

It’s strange to see Peter spreading FUD about privacy. Supporting a shielded pool at Bitcoin's consensus layer isn’t fundamentally different from existing systems based on multisig bridges, such as Liquid.
Why adding Zcash style privacy to Bitcoin at the consensus layer is a bad idea:

ShieldedCSV is the cure.
This is hard to post. But they say acceptance is the first step, and I know I'm not the only one. 😢 I've been suffering from Bitcoin Depression. And maybe you are too.

Make bitcoin cypherpunk again!
Following on the side stage at zk14, @therealyingtong from @idealgroup presented work on private payments based on client-side validation. This approach moves proof validation to the client side, ensuring a minimal footprint on the Bitcoin L1. youtu.be/PY6IrNIEWP8?si=pvh0…

STRC borrows Bitcoin’s halo while inverting its properties: Printed from thin air Can't redeem BTC Permissioned KYC’d Censorable Centralized Systemic risk That’s not Bitcoin exposure. It exploits a vulnerability in the social layer. You’re trading fuck-you money for cuckcoin
Is Strategy 'SBF on steroids'? The fraud comparison doesn’t hold water, but concerns around concentration, custody, and STRC growth are still valid - PBJ breaks it down ↓ Timestamps: 0:00 - Why Strategy has bitcoiners worried 10:29 - Why STRC is not a ponzi 14:11 - When STRC growth becomes risky 17:43 - Custody risk and DeFi leverage loops 23:31 - Why Strategy isn't Terra Luna 25:01 - How MSTR can beat holding bitcoin 33:24 - Saylor’s financial engineering playbook

Nested MuSig2 now has a Python reference implementation. @BeulahEvanjalin built it on secp256k1lab with tests, examples, and protocol notes—generally in a good state for review and discussion. This is the blueprint that will inform the secp256k1-based C work.
11 Dec 2025
1/ We're funding a year-long grant for @BeulahEvanjalin to implement nested MuSig in libsecp256k1-zkp. @jesseposner of @voravault will provide weekly mentorship throughout the project.

Age verification for the internet is the end of human rights and freedom of speech for generations to come. We are watching the freedom values of Western civilization collapse — adopting the same digital cage that others are already trapped in. Human rights are taken away every single day — all because too many of us are still not ready to defend them, mistakenly believing these rights are simply given. Generations fought for these freedoms, high standards of values, and paid with their lives so that we could enjoy and live in a free Western society. Ask yourself: what have you done, and what are you doing every day, to protect this heritage?
South Carolina just passed a law requiring platforms to estimate your age every 100 hours of use, or any time they run their algorithms on you. 80% confidence minimum, $10k fine per wrong guess. The incentive is to collect more data about everyone, including kids. reclaimthenet.org/south-caro…
