I just realized it was the Builder who hired @buildABILITY_CA, not Tarion. I think that may explain why I never got a response after letting the President of the Company know his attempt to warm up my basement had failed. Might it be cause he never checked for proper insulation?
I wonder if Michael Lio .@buildABILITY_CA@ would consider holding his course in my finished basement? This would give him a SECOND chance to remedy the Building Code Violation of my 17 degree basement, after FAILING on his first attempt, then chose to ignore my follow up email?

.@MaritStiles You've also heard many New House Buyers have been at their breaking point because of their poorly built houses & questionable Tarion Warranty Protection of which you are very well aware of! When will you expend same energy to caution buyers b4 they pay a high price?

In Niagara, I heard from health care workers that the system is at a breaking point.
That patients are suffering. Staff are burning out.
Incremental change is not enough. Pushing back against Ford’s cuts is not enough.
We need to form government if we’re going to deliver the health care Niagara needs.

After I had to prove a Year 7 Major Structural Defect that Tarion wouldn't inspect in Year 1, they finally warranted it & Builder repaired. Who holds Municipalities accountable for alleged missed inspections &/or alleged falsifying of Inspection Reports &/or alleged incompetence?

Sorry @MaritStiles, after years of .@OntarioNDP disappointments re #Tarion, if I had any extra money left after repairing my Poorly Built New House that Builder/Tarion & Gov't including @OntarioNDP walked away from, my first choice would be a donation to hard working @CPBH01 !!

I would add another word: 'DARE '
I lost count how many times my Tarion Rep, as she was denying our legitimate defects, would tell us she only had to be fair to the Builder & then would basically dare me to argue my case at something called a Tribunal telling me I would do well.
Why are Ontarians still stuck with the mandatory monopoly, Tarion, .@fordnation?
It's time for Ontario to catch up with other provinces - by having choice.

That is a blatant lie in my case. I was told numerous times by my Rep & her Manager & even the Ombudsperson that Tarion COULD NOT/WOULD NOT reverse any of my warranty decisions even though I had provided ample proof, in fact all three kept telling me to dispute it at a Tribunal.
#DYK that Tarion can reverse its warranty assessment decisions?

Does anyone know why Tarion would refuse to warrant this as poor drywall workmanship documented on Year One Report using the excuse the Garage was not part of the house? Five years later after I investigated, Tarion did warrant it as a potentially serious Major Structural Defect!
Why is there no accountability/penalty for failed inspections or worse, doctored Inspection Reports that are given Passing Grades as was in my @NiagaraFalls house for OBVIOUS Building Code Violation on Load Bearing wall that not even Tarion took serious in first year .@OntarioNDP

I guess the saying is true: Those that Can't, Teach! This teacher, also President of this Company could not be bothered to verify proper insulation installed in basement even after I showed him pictures of that possible Code Violation in my cold basement.

My Tarion Rep knew nothing about construction but at least called in an expert, President of @buildABILITY_CA. Only problem, this expert also did not bother to check for wrong insulation even after I showed him same suspect pictures, only suggested to add heat ducts & registers.

.@BonnieCrombie has same Countertop Color my wife chose for her Dream Kitchen in our New House b4 she was victim of Unauthorized Substitution! Tarion refused to rule in her favour even after enough proof provided especially Builder REFUSING to produce BOTH samples with Same Name!
I suffered a heart attack because of stress caused by Tarion. Now if my health allows I have to go to something called a tribunal to fight my unauthorized substitution that my Rep refused to investigate even after builder ignored her request to produce both samples with same name

@ToddJMcCarthy , Mr McCarthy the stress and heart ache Tarion /HCRA broken process has not only taken a $$ toll on homeowners, there physical and emotional wellbeing are at risk. We have been pushed to our limits as have others . Action is needed now!

The temperature in the lower level has never gone above 19C. Tarion correctly stated the Building code had to maintain 22 degrees.Then told me to keep the main floor thermostat at 28C /82F and walked away as we sweltered upstairs! I kid you not!

If I enrolled in this @buildABILITY_CA course would I be taught why there is a constant draft behind my drywall and the other problems this could cause which might be the reason the cold finished basement is always under 19 degrees year round?
