Relief, nothing more, nothing less. Not something that should ever be celebrated. Can’t say I’ve ever been happier to see the back of what has been a season full of nerves, negativity and numbness. At times it's been tough but as fans we pushed through. To pick up 18 points over five months, conceding 90 goals and still survive you simply have to count yourself lucky. Just shy of 105 days until next season commences. Now is the time to ask the important questions, unite and call for change - Clean the decks across many areas of the club and that has to begin at the boardroom. Clarity is a must if things are to change. Some well deserved stress free weekends away from the club that we love so much, hopefully come August this will be a distant memory and we can put this saga behind us. 💙
Full-time! Our EFL status is secured for next season. #TRFC #SWA

I'll hold my hands up, credit where credit is due. The difference between the first half and the second is astronomical, got it right to a man. Fans rightfully questioned if they had what it takes to handle the pressure but they've prevailed when it mattered the most. Huge plaudits to Jayden Joseph, Leicester have a player on their hands, one of few sparks in what's been another dark season. Albeit not mathematically safe yet but that's an enormous leap in the right direction. Weight lifted off our shoulders. They've left it all out on the pitch tonight and that's all that we ask for. 💙
Feels like a make or break situation. Leaving Prenton Park after the Crewe game last season with a weight off our shoulders we reconciled that we should never find ourselves in a situation where our league status is at threat but cross to 12 months later where a win would almost ensure survival with a 4 point gap combined with a gap in goal difference whereas a defeat would leave a mountain to climb with MK Dons (2nd), on the verge of clinching promotion and playoff hopeful Grimbsy (8th) still left to play. Cheltenham who've turned a page since Steve Cotterill’s return on a run of three successive victories, having only lost 3 of their last 15 (2nd, 5th, 7th). Added with the fact that we have only won 1 of our eight visits dating back to 2003. Not great for a side without a win in two months. When you step onto that pitch, you're a team not individuals, remember the badge you're representing ~ the fans that have endured years of decay and neglect yet still stay with you through unprecedented times. Wear that shirt with pride. 💙

The times are now reporting that the deal has stalled “due to a combination of the EFL wanting more information on Ascent's investors and Ascent worrying about the club's slide towards the National League.” 🙃
“Tranmere Rovers are set to become the latest English team to come under American ownership, as a bid for the Merseyside club from Ascent Capital Partners is waiting for English Football League (EFL) approval. “ [@mjshrimper/@nytimes] #TRFC #SWA nytimes.com/athletic/6972661…

How the league table looked on the day of Wild’s appointment (28 days ago) compared to the current league table. Following a fifth successive game where Rovers fail to find the back of the net. The longest goal drought since February 2020 (6). - Rovers tend to wear out beyond the 60th minute benefiting the opposition who’ve had 10 shots in the second half of four of Rovers five fixtures. All four of these games seeing an xG of 1.00 or above. - Good Friday’s trip to Shrewsbury was the only time Rovers have seen more of the ball than the opposition in the second half. With a 39% overall and the only half where they completed more passes than the opposition. (61-51) Having only recorded 100 passes in both halves of the thrashing by Harrogate .

“It’s us against the fans at the moment” and that’s how you lose any credibility that’s if you had any remorse left. I wouldn't go around saying that to the faces of the 1.7k that travelled to Shrewsbury on Friday to see the ball in their air for 80 minutes with 1 shot on target.
