Is it possible that sitting in 5 hours of meetings in one day (in addition to your typical teaching, collaboration, responding to mails etc) CSM make you stupider? I think it’s an experiment that someone has put me into without my consent!
Given that 275 health/care workers & 52 transport workers have died with COVID-19, why is anyone angry with teachers who are worried about getting it?
Especially as we still don’t know how easily kids can transmit it?
I completely empathise with their very real concerns.
When I was very naive, I was working in the automotive industry. My boss left, wasn’t replaced. I did the job for 6 months. 6 months came and went. I did it for a year... I never thought I’d be taken advantage of in schools. Educational professionals are seen as a “soft touch”.
I truly want schools to return & workers to go back to work, that is why the Government MUST set up safe & efficient test, track and trace scheme that has the trust of parents and workers alike. That is what will get our economy and society back. Shouting at teachers not so much

How would your school/college/university colleagues react if they were asked (told) to do three weeks of online training during their summer holiday? Considering they’ve all been working full time online since February as it is.
I’m hearing rumors of 6 day teaching weeks if emergency teaching is in place next academic year. As if teacher retention wasn’t bad enough. As used in some parts of Germany. Teachers there are well respected and well paid! Let’s see if that’s the case elsewhere!
Anyone that has a job where you get to read for pleasure, sit out in the garden, do gardening or binge watch Netflix. Let me know what that feels like!
