“I lay it at the feet of Jesus and give Him all the glory.” This is AWESOME! Jaccob Slavin @Jslavin74 is a Stanley Cup champion. But he knows where the true victory is found and points to Jesus after their clinching Game 6 win. 🎥 WMFY News 2

RT @DianeLangberg: Jesus’s strongest rebukes were for those religious leaders who used the words of God to crush and control humanity.

When you see Southern Baptists defend their subjugation of women as mandated by "God's word," remember... that's also how they defended slavery & some still do. In my replies yesterday: "I think it is morally permissible... We don't apologize for God's word." #ThisistheSBC

Newly elected Southern Baptist Convention president Willy Rice "has alleged that the SBC’s sexual abuse crisis was more hoax than reality." Yet, his own church previously ordained an abuser as a deacon. baptistnews.com/article/in-s… #ThisistheSBC #SBC26
Willy Rice, Florida pastor and abuse crisis skeptic, elected SBC president. His election is a victory for critics who claim the SBC is too liberal (see below)

Interpreting the New Testament without checking the Old Testament is foolish. What did we learn here besides all that stuff? And for some listeners, this might make me as popular as vegan options at a burger place. I get that, but I’m going to say it anyway. We learned two things. We learned that interpreting the New Testament without checking the Old Testament is foolish. Second, we learned that we need resources that alert us to how New Testament writers are using, reading, and interpreting the Old Testament. That’s what we learned. So I’m going to say this, and as I said, it might make me as popular as a vegan order at a burger place, but anyone you’re reading about End Times theology who isn’t doing this, who isn’t engaging the whole issue of how does the New Testament use the Old Testament… Anybody you’re reading about End Times eschatology who isn’t doing that should be listened to with extreme caution, if not outright ignored. If this is true, then it must also be true that the rest are born with eyes closed such that they cannot willingly by faith seek after Him giving them the perfect excuse for not doing so. As evidenced by these former Calvinists who’ve turned atheists….

“Shouldn’t the church be a safe place for families to share real life experiences with? We don’t need more sermons; we need life-giving communities where real experiences can be shared, processed, and lived out with each other. It’s helpful to know people are in your corner, no matter how messy, confusing, or painful that corner is.” postureshift.com/mom-i-think…
