Following a 15:10 national 5km record in Nijmegen (18 Apr) World Student Games & European U23 steeplechase champion Ilona Mononen ran a 31:38 10km PB in Turku on Friday (24).
Along with Alisa Vainio & a healthy Nathalie Blomqvist, Finnish distance running looks promising. ๐ซ๐ฎ

The emotions here... Last year when I photographed @ANageeye @SifanHassan & @rowBerry the day before their Marathon I could only dream I would be able to run in Hyde Park again. And now 1 year later I did that and tomorrow I am on the startline to run @LondonMarathon ๐ฑ๐ฅณ

DNF for me.
I will do my outmost best to finish but if my legs can not run anymore like this runner I will stop and be happy with knowing I gave it my all but it wasnt meant to be for me to finish.

I first met Femke Bol in Doha in 2019. That day @runoutofhell said she'd be a big star. He was right. I was there for her 400H ER in La Chaux, 400m WR in Glasgow, and much more. So it's only fitting to be there for the start of her next chapter. Excited to be in Metz tomorrow!
