In radiology we don’t say I love you we say look at this cool case and I think that is beautiful.

I spy @UMMCRads Alyson Carraway, APD for the DR Residency, narrating this podcast on the important topic of the radiology readout! 🌟
🚨 A new episode of the @RadioGraphics podcast is now available!🚨 Great radiology education starts at the readout. Learn how patient-centered discussions and strong teaching culture transform training and care. bit.ly/48rn2sx

Radiology in 2026: we can detect a 2 mm incidental lesion from space, but the indication is still “?.”

🔬Pathology is still giving main character energy in medical school… but imaging is running the hospital 🩻 Time for a curriculum plot twist 👇 #Radres #Medtwitter #Radiology
🦠Med school still teaching disease like it’s 1950: microscope first, imaging later. 🩻Meanwhile… clinical medicine in 2026 = CT, MRI, US driving decisions in real time. 🥼We’re training doctors to recognize 🔬pathology slides they’ll never see—and undertraining them in the images they’ll use every single day. 🚨 Education gap = patient care gap. 🎧Listen now before a new episode drops this weekend! 🍏shorturl.at/3N3BT #Radiology #Radres #MedEd #Medtwitter @JACRJournal @JeffreyWaltzMD

Ask your radiologist if POO-RADS is right for you
Replying to @danatsouza
Say NO to the unreliable and subjetive “moderate stool burden” reports! The future of POO-RADS is here!

In radiology, staffing for average volumes is easy, just like just-in-time manufacturing is the most efficient way to make products when everything goes well. Unfortunately, all systems designed for a typical day fall apart when confronted with reality. benwhite.com/radiology/staff…

“remain consistent and teachable” is great advice
My guy in Med school, well organised. Started reading from Day 1 of resumption till 1 minute before the start of every exams. He did everything according to the books. Today, he’s a resident Physician in America. And there’s me, from day 1 of Med school, I mixed studying with leadership, politics, social life, a bit of NCCMDS(Now CMDA), read as much as I can but not too much, never failed any exams and here I am still doing well(by my own standards). As a Medical student, just do what works for you. Don’t follow your BGS to try and discover the cure for Diogenes Syndrome. As far as you give attention to your books, remain consistent and teachable, you’ll be fine and there’s better life out here for you. Selah!

The iterative loop of diagnostic radiology: attend, observe, decide, describe, and polish. In addition to the entirety of training, the second half of the R1 year is also a great time to start really working on the deliberate practice of radiology. benwhite.com/radiology/the-i…
