Today marked another major milestone for the @CityofDeltonaFL as @amazon officially opened its new Distribution Center. What makes this facility especially significant is that it is the only Amazon distribution center of its kind in the State of Florida, supplying other Amazon facilities throughout the region and helping keep one of the world’s largest logistics networks moving. With the addition of the upcoming Trinity project, Amazon’s total investment in Deltona is approaching half a billion dollars. That investment goes far beyond buildings. It includes hundreds of millions of dollars in construction, machinery, equipment, inventory, and most importantly, people. Those dollars will continue circulating throughout our local economy, supporting families, businesses, and creating opportunities for generations to come. Amazon first invested in Deltona in 2020. At a time when many businesses were closing their doors, Amazon was hiring, investing, and helping ensure families could safely receive the products they needed at home.
