Today in Iraq in 2005: SFC Cashe’s vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb. Cashe heroically retrieved 7 Soldiers and an interpreter from the burning vehicle, receiving burns on most of his body. He perished of his wounds on Nov. 8, 2005. He posthumously received the #MedalofHonor.
