Second day out in the last week! A very informative event arranged by the YAS Personalised Care Team. We spent the day hearing about various projects within the trust, all with the aim of improving care for our Neurodiverse patients.

It is with profound sadness we share news of the passing of our Deputy Chair, Tom Heywood, YAS. Tom was a founder of NADN & chaired the YAS network. He leaves a lasting legacy across the sector, improving the lives of staff, he will be deeply missed, Rest in Power dear friend 💜

Prior to even formally starting #ALF2023, it's great to see such representaion at our National #Ambulance Diversity & Inclusion Forum-hosted session to consider how we can collectively make the ambulance sector less impervious to #equality, #diversity and #inclusion.

Awful. Awful way to die. The anxiety they must have had getting on to it in the first place. The noises the vessel inevitably made before it tore apart. The families not knowing what happened, and may never truly know. Those poor migrants. They only wanted a better life.

I’ve been juggling with my conscience for weeks… Do I want to see a properly funded NHS service in the long term? Yes. Would I sleep knowing my family didn’t get an ambulance if they really needed one? No. Can I see any other option of forcing this government to make change? No.
