The Illinois State Basketball family mourns the loss of one of our own, the great Derrick Mayes. Derrick was a man that brought joy to every room he walked in. His pride for Redbird Basketball was truly something special. Our thoughts and prayers are with Derrick’s family, friends and loved ones. #RB4L

The Redbird 7 will always be in our hearts ❤️
Illinois State is believed to be the first school ever to qualify for the Semifinals in a D1 postseason tournament in Football, MBB, and WBB in the same academic year. They lost an overtime heartbreaker in the FCS Final, and are headed to the NIT Semifinal and WNIT Fab Four.
