The most enigmatic structure in cell biology: the Vault. Often missing from science text books due to the mysterious nature of their existence, it has been 40 years since the discovery of these giant, half-empty structures, produced within nearly every cell, of every animals, on the planet.

Our paper on inclusive 15-minute cities is now out in @NatCities! I want to express my deep gratitude to Vittorio @loretoff, Matteo @MisterBrown___, and Bruno for an incredible journey. It was a long ride, but a very fun one, and we’re just getting started!
Only a tiny fraction of global cities currently meet the definition of a 15-minute city, according to a paper in @NatCities. The research outlines what it would take for existing cities to become 15-minute cities. go.nature.com/3Txfxci

Guys if you haven't been to @CompleNet, don't take my word for it. Ask someone who's been. It's plenary only, smaller, focused. We're going to the 16th edition! Fortaleza. Check out videos on YouTube! If you go, spend more time there. Take a vacation! youtube.com/watch?v=sP6Zrxhd…

It can be incredibly difficult to find official sub-national shapefiles. Luckily, there are a number of sources that make the job easier:

Visualizing Science! I'm holding a series of free, online workshops, thanks to Johns Hopkins University. All are welcome! I plan to have fun with Danielle VanBrabant, Damond Kyllo, and Amey Zhang to introduce visualization topics and challenges. No art experience is necessary.

Great to finally see this published: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.… ! Lots more work to be done on this, but this is a first step to study public transport and its affordability in the UK. The associated Python package is openly available here: github.com/FedericoBotta/rai…

When we think about gravity as a concept, we tend to go with our thoughts to Isaac Newton and his apple, but an idea of gravity as attractive force, was first suggested by Indian astronomer Brahmagupta in the year 628 CE. He called it "gurutvākarṣaṇ".
