I have long adopted a rule in life to not waste time "debating" those who are disingenuous because it is a waste of time, even for mental gym practice. Arguing with someone who is intense but at least sincere, offers a chance to hard test your own views and conclusions.

This has become especially important as I deal with people who wander into my areas of work related to terrorism, disinformation, journalism and of course Ukraine. There is a red flag here and there that tells you, "they aren't interested in learning" and at that point, move on.

If I am being really honest, I would argue that foreign armies NEED their people fighting in Ukraine for a bit, to just understand the new realities of the modern warfare.
Then come back to their home militaries and restructure so that they are strong again.
