Up to Leicester yesterday for the first talk of 13 in September for World Sepsis Day. Full audience of 300. Always a privilege to share Williams story to remind healthcare professionals of the reality of not thinking sepsis. 🧡 @Leic_hospital@UKSepsisTrust#SepsisAwarenessMonth

I reported my breakdown at 12.00 yesterday (lunchtime) and STILL haven’t had anyone out to help me despite numerous calls to the help centre. It’s now 12.00 the following day. How is this acceptable? I’m safe, but stuck here waiting and waiting and waiting….
Not been here for a while. I fell out of "like" with X a long time ago and considering jumping ship. But I miss the contact with our bereaved parents and #sepsis campaigners. What other platforms are you on? (or that you know other people have migrated to)

Please let your voice be heard. We were so lucky that I knew the signs, but sepsis shock does so much damage, the journey is a long battle, anything we can do to raise awareness, help recovery
& support the @UKSepsisTrust is worth a few minutes.

Saying the name of a child who has died can be very important to bereaved parents. A lovely way to include the child’s name might be to add that you always remember them in a card or message you send to the family.

We are currently in the midst of the biggest mental health crisis our children & young people have ever experienced.
We knew this was coming.
It was creeping up on us over many years.
Then the pandemic came, compounding the underlying problems.
Now it's hit like a tsunami.

Thanks @JayneWheway so great to have you with us @NHSBartsHealth today at #BartsHealthDoPSIRF - a key reminder of @sams_monkey & complexity in clinical practice and the vital need to use frameworks/tools to aid transparency & achieve learning/improvement
Another awful #sepsis tragedy which could have potentially been avoided. Dylan Cope aged just 9 years old. So much more still needs to be done with improved recognition and better safety netting a must.
Thoughts are with the family.
