I don't want to download an app. I want to turn my LED lights on. With a power button. That is physically attached to my LED lights.

Maybe the lesson here is not to study economics via a children’s board game.
There’s literally a children’s board game whose whole premise is showing how free market capitalism ends with one person owning everything while everyone else goes bankrupt.

Louis Rossmann is planning to sue Samsung because of a warranty problem with a 4TB SSD drive that he bought from Best Buy for around 330 dollars about two years ago and that stopped working while still under warranty. He sent Samsung proof of the failure and they asked for the drive to test it but after checking they returned it saying it was fine even though Rossmann tested it again and confirmed it was still broken. Samsung then offered him only the original 330 dollar refund and said they had no stock for a replacement yet the exact same drive is currently selling on Amazon for about 949 dollars.

Dear Microsoft, when I hit the Windows Start menu key and start typing a word to autocomplete a search, I never, ever, EVER want it to return results of something not on my computer. Ever. Like, ever, ever, never.

If you are the person constantly complaining Hollywood is woke but won't go and see Masters of the Universe in theaters supporting a genuine good un-woke movie? YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM. Go be part of the SOLUTION 🍻

The DMCA should be rescinded. Garbage, corpo-dick sucking legislation. Nuke the Patriot Fascism Act and ObamaDontCare while you're at it.

“What is the evidence of voter fraud in LA?” Imagine I tell you let’s play a game. We’re going to flip a coin. If it’s tails, I’ll give you $100. If it’s heads, you owe me $100. Then I walk into the next room. When I return, I tell you “It was heads”. Maybe I’m telling the truth. Maybe I’m a well intentioned and honest person, and the fact that this seems incredibly shady is just a total coincidence. Or maybe I scammed you. The point is you have no way of knowing. You may claim that I just scammed you… but there’s “NO EVIDENCE” that I did! And THAT is our election process. For years now in our elections, we have seen irregularity after irregularity, numbers that don’t make sense, math that doesn’t add up, statistical impossibilities — all of which always seems to exclusively benefit one party. In our legal system, REASONABLE SUSPICION is the standard in which law enforcement can investigate a possible crime. Why is that not the same standard for our elections? Every American deserves to have faith in our electoral process. And there is just no objective way that anybody can have faith in the current system. If our elections were clean, there would be transparency, and investigations would be welcomed. School children are told “Show your work” when it comes to math homework. That’s all most of us are saying when it comes to the corrupt bastards handling these ballots: Show your work. 🤔

I added 53 fonts to the FPGA's tilemap. I got the fonts from this cool website I will post in the comments, and converted the linux mapped ones into large C arrays. Then I added the command interface and stream to the SPI port of FPGA. If it is a 8x16 or smaller font, I might be able to add it later if you ask very nicely. I was surprised FM Towns font was able to fit.

Last night, I read the entirety of C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters. It's a novel told in the form of letters written by a demon to another demon instructing him on ways to manipulate his "patient" to do evil. This one quote sounded familiar.

Bob and I worked out the concept of using Link with shield for video tests. His test of this same image on their hardware doesn't look like this at all. For those that want an actual image capture comparison, I've linked the time stamp in the video: youtu.be/5gUXzOh5E88?t=1518

We need more of this. Instead of hacking USB-C into retro consoles and computers, how about we invent USB-C pigtail adapters? This way, these devices will support modern DC solutions and anything that replaces it in the future.
Shout out to the BEST & CHEAPEST PSP USB C Adapter Out There (€1.62) - Compatible with PSP 1000, 2000, 3000, Street - Supports standard usb c chargers as well as PD ( USB C to C as long as it supports 5V 3A ) - Cannot fast charge

The reason we think dandelions are weeds is because of a 1950s marketing campaign. Dandelions, native to Europe and Asia, were brought to North America in the 1600s by European colonists who grew them deliberately. Every part is edible. The leaves are a salad green, the flowers were made into wine, and the roots were roasted as a coffee substitute and used medicinally for liver and kidney conditions for thousands of years. They were a kitchen-garden staple well into the 1800s. The shift happened after World War II, when 2,4-D (originally developed for chemical warfare research) was approved as a residential herbicide. Companies like Scotts built the modern lawn-care industry around the idea that a perfect green lawn meant zero broadleaf plants. Dandelions, being bright yellow and resistant to mowing, became a visible enemy, and the campaign worked. By the 1970s, "dandelion-free" was synonymous with "well-kept." They aren't native, but they aren't doing significant ecological harm either. The herbicides used to kill them, on the other hand, kill bees, contaminate groundwater, and have been linked to non-Hodgkin lymphoma in humans. If you hate dandelions, it's most likely due to a marketing campaign that ran before you were born.
