What does a โ€œstrong Pakistanโ€mean? It is a loaded word. Institutionally strong? US wouldnโ€™t have that in mind because the US prefers Pakistan under the political control of the Field Marshal. Economically strong? It is on an IMF drip and Saudi doles. Militarily strong? Does it mean the US is ready to give arms aid to Pakistan? In what sense is a strong America specifically good for Pakistan? Where is China- Pakistan relationship in all this? China is Pakistanโ€™s biggest defence and economic partner. It is involved in major strategic projects in the country. What about Pakistanโ€™s involvement in state sponsored terrorism? Its links with Osama bin Laden, LeT etc are now forgotten? The US is now satisfied Pakistani society is no longer radicalised. Pakistanโ€™s nuclear and missile programmes are no longer of concern? Why has concern surfaced about Pakistan developing ICBM capability? Pakistanโ€™s โ€œstrengthโ€ is unfortunately India- centric. The US diplomat evidently thinks a strong, militarised Pakistan is good for the region. That is not our view.
"A strong Pakistan is good for America and a strong America is good for Pakistan," says top US diplomat in Pakistan Natalie Baker

Iqbal Singh Sethi was born on 1st January 1934 in Rawalpindi. A proud Sikh, a decorated Indian Navy Officer, and the man history almost forgot. When his Navy ship reached England in 1953, he discovered Rock โ€˜nโ€™ Roll โ€” and the world discovered him. He learned to jive, won the South of England Rock โ€˜nโ€™ Roll Championship, came back to India, and won the title of โ€œKing of Rock โ€˜nโ€™ Roll of Indiaโ€ at the Taj Hotel, Bombay. In 1960, Bollywood came calling. In the film Ek Phool Char Kaante, he sang and performed โ€œBaby of Bombayโ€ โ€” becoming the first turbaned, bearded Sikh to ever appear on the Bollywood screen. He didnโ€™t compromise his identity for fame. Not even for a second. The Navy then made him choose โ€” movies or service. He chose to serve his country. No regrets. He passed away on 27th November 2021, but his legacy is eternal. A Punjabi. A Sikh. A Sailor. A Rockstar. ๐Ÿ“น Credit : Punjabism
