Many devices use off-the-shelf components. You can get to market faster, but your design is restricted
We wanted a custom design for many reasons:
⚬ Better ergonomics (tested over 100s of revisions)
⚬ Better input (glass touchpad w/ multiple gestures)
⚬ Better output (custom miniaturized haptics)
As a result, every Stream Ring is carved from a solid block of aluminum.
