The bet was simple: AI was going to change software, and image editing in particular, so much that it needed new, ai first, products. Quickly, we also discovered that as commerce is moving online, businesses are being judged by their imagery.
Europe wasn't the obvious place to build an AI company. Capital was harder. Distribution was fragmented. That pressure made us better, international from day 0. It forced us to ship faster, and build for real users: side-hustlers on mobile, SMBs on the web, enterprises like Depop, Decathlon, Amazon, and DoorDash via API.

We can build a global leader from Europe. We are doing it like Mistral , ElevenLabs , Lovable or Wayve
Paris was Photoroom’s first base and is now its biggest hub: it’s a truly global city that brings together international talent from more than 30 nationalities.
