The Government should take note: the demand for a 5-Day Banking Week is so dear to bankers that even at 13,859 ft, they carry that message and proudly unfurl its flag. #5DaysBanking @FinMinIndia
From 13,850 ft, the message is clear: Bankers deserve #5DaysBanking We serve customers every day, often beyond banking hours. It’s time for a healthier work-life balance, better productivity, and fulfillment of the long-pending promise of #5DaysBanking #BankersDemandBankersNeed

#AIBOC #Unity #Trust #Loyalty @nilesh_pawar15 @GaletinageshG @sanjaybpi @ShvetangT @AbhishekBOIOA @ravindra0522 @Ashurules09

This is something we were witnessing last few years. When something like that happens we protest but after that we fall asleep again and the countdown begins for the next one. We just don't understand that everybody does not have the art of work life balancing but we expect so!!!

“Work-life balance” in some systems means: Work till exhaustion. Balance your mental breakdown quietly. Young professionals are told they are the “future of the nation,” then welcomed with impossible targets, staff shortages, transfers far from family, endless pressure, and the timeless management philosophy, “adjust kar lo.” Apparently, being overworked is called commitment. Anxiety is called performance pressure. Silence is called professionalism. When a 22-year-old reaches a point where life itself feels heavier than the job, maybe the question is not about individual strength. Maybe the system should stop celebrating pressure as productivity. Policies proudly speak about employment, growth, and development. Strange how nobody mentions the emotional cost hidden behind those glossy reports. A workforce is not built by squeezing people dry. A country cannot progress by normalizing burnout and calling it discipline. But yes, keep increasing targets. Human lives are clearly “non-performing assets.” #Bankerslife #5DaysBanking #stressfreelife @PMOIndia @nsitharaman @nsitharamanoffc @FinMinIndia @DFS_India @RBI @LabourMinistry @nilesh_pawar15 @fboioa_india @aiboc_in @rupamsmail
Deeply saddened by the unfortunate demise of Shri Bishal Brata Roy, a newly recruited DRO at Bank of Baroda. This tragic incident highlights the importance of continuously reviewing workplace conditions, employee well-being, and support systems in the banking sector. The time calls for constructive introspection on training, staffing levels, workload management, transfer policies, mental health support, and employee-friendly HR practices. A strong banking system must be built not only on performance, but also on the well-being, dignity, and professional growth of its workforce. Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. #BankingSector #EmployeeWelfare #MentalHealth #WorkplaceWellbeing

Banking sector can't thrive on profitability matrix alone. Its true success is when people feel respected, supported, & heard. Unions & management must foster a culture where mental health can be given importance, else, tragedies will continue & industry will keep on flourishing

Lack of clear advancement opportunities is a leading cause of voluntary turnover, with many employees quitting due to perceived inequities & favouritism. A transparent and logical promotion process is essential to eliminate favoritism, build trust, and motivate employees.
A very pertinent observation by @TamalBandyo ji. Transparency in promotions is not merely an HR ideal—it is central to morale, credibility, and institutional integrity. When processes lack clarity and uniformity, it inevitably impacts motivation and trust at all levels. As stakeholders in the system, we strongly believe that well-defined, objective, and transparent promotion frameworks are essential for sustaining both performance and fairness in all PSBs. This is an area that deserves serious, system-wide introspection and reform. @aiboc_in

A March ritual in public sector banks — internal promotions. A close look at the process which is often opaque. Not in all banks though. Latest #BankersTrust in ⁦@bsindia

Indian Economy can't move an inch without PSBs : for that they don't want to keep Bankers out of sight. But Bankers assured to work daily 40 mnts more in lieu of 2 more Saturdays off. Even then what's the problem ? Make it clear to common bankers. #5daysbanking #5daysworkweek
1985: Govt gave Central Govt employees 5-Day Week Reasons ➝ ✔️ Efficiency ↑ ✔️ Energy Saving ↓ ✔️ Work-Life Balance ⚖️ ✔️ Absenteeism ↓ ✔️ Commute ↓ 2026: Same Govt to Bankers 👇 ❌ Efficiency works only till Friday ❌ Energy saving applies only to some buildings ❌ Work-life balance is a “department-specific luxury” ❌ Mental health is optional for bankers 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 = 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬? 🪧𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, If #5Daywork boosts productivity since 1985, then not extending it to bankers in 2026 is not a policy decision — it’s administrative satire in slow motion. File Status: “𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” ✔️ Demand raised: 2015 ✔️ MoU signed: 07-12-2023 ✔️ Settlement recorded: 08-03-2024 ⏳ Time passed: 650 days ❌ Decision: Still buffering… UPI clears in seconds, files don’t—because Digital India runs on code, but government decisions run on calendar reminders, where “under consideration” means years, logic means silence, and bankers’ demands mean wait patiently; efficiency is celebrated on posters, work-life balance in speeches, and excuses in policy—that’s why bankers demand #5daysbanking. #5DayBankingNow #5daysworkweek @nilesh_pawar15 @fboioa_india @aiboc_in @DFS_India @nsitharaman @nsitharamanoffc @PMOIndia
