it is actually really heartwarming to see people coming out of DISCLOSURE DAY going, wow, courtney grace was tremendous! what the fuck! which is also how i felt leaving the movie, and there's real magic in this feeling!

"write for yourself" is true, and i do, but i think part of the reason some people find this to be insufficient advice when they're not finding an audience is that if they weren't looking for community they would not post their writing for other people to read
