Friends, it’s hard to put the universe into language and into a short message, but She passed away last night, surrounded by family and love, including yours. Keep her name close and sacred. Share this moment with someone who needs you. Love is indeed the most important thing.

ah yes, “Heart-Shaped Box,” that famously up-tempo Nirvana song, tops the bpm ratings on @pitchfork ‘s new 90s list
a screenshot of a section of Pitchfork’s new interactive feature, which shows the tempos of the 100 highest rated songs on their latest readers’ poll about the music of the 90s, and where someone presumably used software to deduce the bpm of each track and for some reason it interpreted the tempo of “Heart-Shaped Box” twice as fast as it really is, which makes it the fastest song in the list, which apparently nobody noticed, which isn’t a big deal at all compared to everything else wrong in the world but is still kind of irritating coming from a professional music writing website
