4-1. Oh boy. The 2nd Gen Reyna with a dirty strike from the edge of the box. That was pretty. USA with probably their best national team game ever, or so analyst like myself are saying.
No Captain America to start the 2nd?! Rest your stars, I get it. Power move.
A touch aggressive for my liking, but respect the power move when it is made
Biggest question appears to be if the USA attempts to run the score up to increase their goal differential, again elite soccer mind, or button down the hatches at this point. Kind of feels like a lion playing with its prey at the moment.
2-0. Captain America is real good at the round ball game. Finds Balogun for the easy layup. Some elite soccer analysts, like myself, would classify this 1st half as a clinic (not a soccer word)
Feels like Paraguay is trying to establish the run right now. Really trying to muck it up. USA wants to spread em out to run and gun. This isn’t the 90s Paraguay. Advantage USA. Captain America looking like the best player on the PITCH (another soccer word, I’m told)
USA in complete control right now after a NERVY (soccer word, I’m told) first couple of mins. Pulisic, Captain America, splits 2 defenders and forces an own goal from Paraguay. 1-0. #EasyGame
To recap, the last time @cburbs last won the @millsboysleague championship:
-Apple launched the IPhone that fall
-Matt Flynn (!) led LSU to a BCS Championship
-Dany Heatley scored 50 goals
-Lawrence Tynes (!!) walked off the Favre led Packers in the NFC Championship game
