Anyone know a HCP in Bristol that can treat facet joint pain? Been advised by a pain specialist (in NZ) that I should have a massage/acupuncture. Really want to see someone soon if I can, had pain for quite a while now. Disturbs my sleep so have to try and get some meds too.

My brother just sent me a pic of a full page article in the Times (UK) newspaper about the RESOLVE trial. I didn’t see that one coming 🤩

Just watched a presentation on EMDR. I knew a little about it but have a deeper understanding now. Very interested in trying it. Is it becoming more recognised to treat chronic pain does anyone know? Has anyone had a positive experience with it?

Ok so who else has done this & what did they take away from it / action / change / results (if any?). Intrigued to know!

I think that this is something I will have in my toolbox going forward, & I also think it’s simple but has the potential for huge changes (positive). Don’t underestimate the power of language & its application. The hardest bit is learning a new habit!

Well done to @sarah_cruser for being able to post about something so complex in a clear concise way in just a few posts! Totally with you Sarah, experience the same… in fact it made me laugh because I was saying to myself, yep, I do that too! I should know better.
Beautiful, challenging, extraordinarily courageous thread for all HCPs and people who live with pain to read, learn and understand.

I am also a patient partner on this study with Tina. It’s amazing, I’m so grateful and proud to be a part of this.

Thrilled to be part of the FORECAST research study looking at indicators for people developing persistent ‘sciatica’. I cannot think of a more important research project (yes, I know, as a persistent with persistent ‘sciatica’ I am biased in saying this!)

Just another tool in the toolbox that can really help in recovery. I know because I’ve used it & still do.

Think I have a hamstring injury - a tear at the ischial tuberosity? Symptoms came on slowly but very painful to the touch when feeling around my sit bone. & pain when lifting leg to walk up steps. Should I get checked out or rest & recover?
