The rest of this building was boarded up recently by the city for becoming a squatters drug den. Blanchard Street is a known hot spot for drug dealing, using, and fatal overdose deaths. Should the selling of paraphernalia and tools to smoke illegal and lethal drugs be allowed? Should a zoning permit be required? Perhaps a special tax of these items we can all get behind? Canada has taken a stand against butane torches that are root causes of tent, tv, and building fires. So now you want an unconstitutional millionaires tax Because you have done polling and if you can tempt Brian Heywood to run an initiative against you then your union bosses are all lined up to spend $10’s of millions of dollars to paint me, millionaires, business owners, entrepreneurs, small manufacturers, successful start ups and anyone stupid enough to help grow the economy here as villains, as bad guys who are making it harder for the average citizen. When, in point of fact, it is your party who for 40 years has been taxing and spending while failing miserably in schools, roads, infrastructure, crime, homelessness, affordability. It is all on you. You want citizens to: Please ignore the billions you already take from citizens making their life more expensive. Please ignore the $9billion you just increased taxes by and still can’t keep up with the wasteful spending increases Please ignore the money that has been incompetently lost by the state Please ignore the money that has fraudulently disappeared from state coffers Please ignore the fact that you cannot track the impact on the climate of the $4.5 billion and counting you have taken from struggling citizens at the pump just from the CCA hidden gas tax Oh and please ignore the constitution and the law that was passed last year that prohibits the state, counties, or cities from issuing an income tax And don’t forget that Olympia democrats are already defining millionaires as people making $125K or more a year And above all everyone please ignore the absolutely horrible polling numbers that show Bob Ferguson is not a popular guy. He needs union money and union support quick or he might get challenged from the Left so here he is to sacrifice the formerly thriving business community on the alter of Union demands. Millionaires move, average citizens get screwed. This played out in California, and is beginning to happen in WA state.

Bob, you already gave Washington the largest tax increase in history and your new proposed income tax is an even dumber idea. It’s going to accelerate job creators leaving the state and the “income threshold” will inevitably expand. How about we do a debate on it? I’ll defend Republicans in DC giving Americans the largest tax reduction in history and you can defend your newest terrible tax plan for the state. We can do it in Seattle and you can pick the moderators. I’m the state’s highest profile Republican and I say that the state legislature has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. You are the state’s highest profile Democrat and you say that another new tax is the answer. Let’s give the taxpayers of this state a spirited discussion of our opposing views. How about it? 🇺🇸

Progressives in Washington gave us the highest gas prices in the country. In Seattle, their policies blessed us with the most expensive ride shares as well as highest cost of dining out. Somehow Seattle decided to elect another one, with 0 political experience, all in the name of affordability. How did our city get so lost 🤦‍♂️
