For those wondering, @Sonic_Pi won’t be participating in this round of tech layoffs.
At least not until the money runs out.
Luckily I have a few months left in the bank.

Haha! I made this real quick last night because I wanted to make sure y'all know about nested sprites, added my best Bob Ross imitation voice-over this morning: youtu.be/ZpqRnF9kdro
100 boxes made! Paper engineering and flat pack resource boxes ready to go.
All the files will be made available on our website at warwick.ac.uk/wmgoutreach/re… once we've got these posted out.
Merry Christmas (I know it's early!) From #WMGoutreach!
ALT A stack of boxes on a trolley with a pop up card on top. People are working on the boxes in the background.
ALT 100 small cubes stitched in white thread on black felt in skeleton form. The cubes are arranged in 10 rows of cubes and 10 columns of cubes. Each cube is rotated 10 degrees from its neighbour, which creates a pleasing overall effect.
Another month, and another significant drop in Patreon support and no upcoming talks/workshops/performances in the calendar.
It’s hard to imagine a change of fortune in this current financial climate.
Please consider supporting my ongoing @Sonic_Pi work if you can.
With some blocks in the geometry library of TurtleStitch it's so easy to make designs for cardstock cutting and output as dxf files. Children made these triangular pyramids this afternoon. #turtlestitch
If you’re in NYC this Saturday, this is definitely worth your time.
The space looks amazing (huge LED screens) and the New York live coding scene has so many talented and wonderful performers.
One day I’ll make it to one of these shows…
“if you give extra feedback to school kids on their ability in maths - in short, just tell the girls they really are good at the subject - it not only has a huge impact on their confidence, it also more than halves the gender gap once those students get to degree level. Halves!”
A little piece I wrote for today’s i newspaper about why - I think - you don’t see more girls doing maths.
In short: it’s death by a thousand cuts.

Calling all Creative Coders in or around Sheffield, UK!
I just created a new meet-up group so we can all find each other, share ideas and create a nurturing and supportive network.
No dates set just yet, but the initial plan is a social monthly meeting.
